We're delighted to announce that Blakeway North has been named one of Broadcast's "Best PlacesTo Work In TV 2020" for the second year running.
It's a bumper year for Blakeway North as not one but four of our productions received nominations for the O2 North West Media Awards. Included in those chosen were compilation show,"Greatest Chocolate Ads of All Time" for the Best Entertainment Programme category, "The Foreign Doctors Are Coming" and "My Life: I Will Survive" for Best Documentary category, and "Single Mums: Who Needs A Man When You've Got A Spray Tan" for the Best Factual Programme category.
Following on from the raft of nominations Blakeway North received last week at the RTS North West awards launch, we are over the moon to announce that we have also just been awarded the Children / Youth prize at the Venice TV Awards for "My Life: I Will Survive" - a sequel to Blakeway North's Bafta and Emmy award-winning documentary 'Born To Vlog', which follows vlogger Nikki Lilly through a particularly challenging summer with her rare and debilitating medical condition.
We are thrilled to announce that no less than five Blakeway North productions have been nominated for this year's RTS North West awards. The nominations include Nikki Lilly's "My Life: I Will Survive" for Best Children's Programme, "Skipping School: Britain's Invisible Kids" and "Life After My Brother's Murder" for Best Current Affairs Programme, "Bargain Loving Brits In The Sun" for Best Factual Series, and "The Foreign Doctors Are Coming" for Best Single Documentary. The winners will be announced on Saturday 23rd November.
Blakeway North's CBBC series "Nikki Lilly Meets..." has been nominated for a Mind Media Award, which recognises media output that reflects and challenges perceptions of mental health in a manner which is well-crafted and responsibly produced.

We are thrilled to announce that Blakeway North's much acclaimed CBBC series "Nikki Lilly Meets..." has been shortlisted in the Best Digital Children's Content category in this year's Broadcast Digital Awards. The series saw Vlogger and "Junior Bake Off" star Nikki Lilly meet some of the world's biggest stars for a quick chat and some tasty bakes. Nikki, who suffers from AVM - or arteriovernous malformation - interviewed a wide range of high-profile celebrities, singers, politicians and sportsmen for the series, including Theresa May, Gary Linekar, Nadiya Hussein and Jacqueline Wilson to name a few.
